Privacy Policy
This policy describes what data Inova GSM Control collects and why. It covers the mobile application and its backend server.
Account data
- Name and email — for sign-in and to identify you to people you share a device with.
- Password — stored only as an argon2 hash. We cannot read it.
Device data
- The name you give a device and the phone number of the SIM inside it.
- Device PIN — encrypted with AES-256-GCM. It is never shown in the app, and people you share the device with cannot see it.
- Notification numbers, alarm texts, SMS centre number and output labels.
- Last known device state and a log of sent commands (type, time, sender). The PIN is masked in the log.
What we do not collect
- We do not read your SMS messages. The app holds no messaging permissions on any platform.
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone or photo access.
- No advertising networks and no behavioural tracking.
- We do not sell or share data with third parties.
How commands are sent
The server composes the SMS text and returns it to your phone. Your phone sends the message through your mobile carrier. The server does not send SMS and cannot see the exchange between your phone and the device. Message charges are set by your carrier.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account inside the app under Account & support → Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your account, your devices, their settings and command history. The physical devices keep running with their last-sent configuration.
